Enchanted Silver Princess

This painting was inspired by the Eucalyptus Caesia more commonly known as the Silver Princess.  These small native trees are endemic to the South-west of WA and as I was travelling around the Margaret River region, these beautiful, iconic eucalypts were flowering in deep reds from pretty, silver gumnuts. The branches were cascading down from above, with leaves falling like curtains and deep pinks of colour scattering the landscape.
