Description

Photographic Edition print by Tony Potts

I swim here most mornings. There's a particular kind of quiet that comes with following the black line just you, the water, and the rhythm of your own stroke. Shot from above, what strikes me is how small and solitary the swimmer looks against all that extraordinary turquoise, and yet how completely at home. The Icebergs pool sits right on the edge of the Pacific on a big swell day the ocean comes over the wall and there's nowhere quite like it in the world. I never tire of looking down into that water.
