I watched this surfer navigating the rocks with a lovely backdrop of Mount Coolum in soft focus in the distance. Even with the rugged ground underfoot, there’s a quiet ease to his movement.

Through the lens, he looked like he was simply part of the landscape. Because of that backdrop, it feels like a vast, open space of nature, evoking a deep sense of peace and serenity. I wanted to capture that connection - one lone figure set against the massive, timeless scale of the coast.
