'Gingernuts' - Artist Edition print by Jane Hoggard

In this series of paintings, I played with new palettes, introducing homemade stencil work, and painting and drawing from the heart. I always draw and 'get to know' my subject but paint from memory.

But the positivity of the visit to my sister's new home sparked a kind 'festival' feel, particularly evident in the gentle, but cheery palette that softens with tonal variation. This work feels like a Hansel and Gretel gingerbread memory.
