Description

Photographic Edition print by Tony Potts

Every sunny day, the rooftop of the pump house at Bondi Icebergs fills with people, towels spread, bodies arranged, the Pacific just metres away. I walk past on the elevated walkway above and find myself stopping every time. From up here it stops being a crowd and becomes something else entirely a composition. The scatter of striped towels, the geometry of outstretched limbs, the patchwork of colour against the dark concrete. So utterly, unself-consciously Australian. I never get tired of looking down.
