I was thinking of Nina Simone when painting this work, and her deep rich voice bringing me into her arms and her heart! A force of nature singing about nature, love, and the spirit within. I found her album in a vintage shop and put it on and cried. Strange fruit, lilac wine mood indigo. Like sonic voodoo. More than just simply music!
