This was the first photograph I ever took in my Palm Springs series. Years ago, my friend and I were cruising the desert; we were both passionate about mid-century architecture and were on a hunt for our favourite homes. I was lucky I had my camera when drove through the historic Racquet Club Estates enclave.

This Palm Springs classic home was built in 1959 and captures the essence of the 'Alexander' era. Its low-pitched roofline mirrors the sleek, aerodynamic profile of the Citroen SM parked out front. It is a study in mid-century geometry, where the rhythmic patterns of the white breeze blocks create a sharp play of light and shadow across the desert landscape.

This initial inspiration led me back to Palm Springs to photograph my door series. Beyond those specific entries, i was fortunate to find further lifestyle shots featuring retro vehicles that truly captured the spirit of this mid-century Mecca.
