I painted The Cape to honor a childhood memory of a friend’s favorite area. Based on the Cape Cod area strait, just north of Menemsha on Martha’s Vineyard, research on the area spoke of giant sand waves, huge glacial boulders, and several uncharted wrecks in this sailing corridor.
