A panoramic view of Bryce Canyon, named after Ebenezer Bryce, a local rancher who may or may not have actually lost a cow or two there.Geological tidbit: Bryce is on the cusp of two watersheds. The rain that falls on the east side of the rim eventually flows into the Colorado River which drains into the Gulf of California. The rain on the west side drains into the Great Basin from which there is no outlet. This image was made at upper Inspiration Point during mid-morning under a light cloud cover.
