Burrubii is one of Australia's iconic native animals, it is unfortunately disappearing due to loss of habitat and loss of food source - eucalyptus one of our medicine trees. Burrubii is one of the many animals i like to paint, because of their distinct features, the big nose, eyes and fluffy ears. I am also curious about how they survive travelling from one tree to the next. This climbing creature is part of many cultural creation stories, symbolic of their longstanding time here in this land we share.
