Surrender and Deeper Water are both extensions of an ongoing process, one beginning with a white canvas and one with a black canvas of the same size. Deeper Water immediately went down the pathway of water and turbulence, while Surrender reflects more earth tones. Neither were pre-conceived, things just have a way of suggesting which path to take.
