Simon Eeles

Australian born, New York-based photographer Simon Eeles focuses primarily on portrait and celebrity photography. Having worked under renowned fashion photographer Craig McDean, Eeles has a knack for creating images with sharp fashion-world glamour, while simultaneously having a grounded approach in happiness and honesty.

Between shooting for publications such as Australia Vogue, Interview, W and various high end advertising campaigns, Simon has been working on a series of books telling a story of the native land, shedding a hard light on the faraway continent and its people. His first book, Australiana (2016) is the product of a cross-continental road trip through his homeland following years of living and working abroad. His second book, Far Far Rockaways (2017), paints beachside portraits of the colorful and diverse fantasy that is Rockaway Beach over the course of two summers. His third book "Women of Australia" is a look at the Australian female zeitgeist.
