Aboriginal Original Art Lookbook 2023

We are proud supporters of Indigenous art and represent both established and emerging First Nations artists.
Original indigenous paintings are sourced from artists living in the remote community of Yuendumu, 290 kms northwest of Alice Springs in the Central Desert. Artists are able to create works at the Aboriginal owned Art Centre, supported by the Australian Government and commissions from the sale of originals goes direct to artists. All originals are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity to verify provenance. Originals can be found in a FINEPRINTCO store or online, and shipped internationally as a rolled canvas work or purchased domestically either rolled or stretched and framed.

ARTWORK AND TAX TIME

You may be eligible to claim your artwork as an instant deduction on your tax return. In the Australian Tax Office’s eyes, artwork is both an investment and a depreciating asset. If you operate a small business from either a commercial office or at home office location, you may be eligible to claim 100% instant asset write-off on artworks.

Individual circumstances apply, so we recommend speaking with your tax professional. For a full explanation of the taxation specifics please view the Australian Taxation Office website.
