Francesca Owen

Australian photographer Francesca Owen is renowned for her body of work which focuses on the fine lines and soft muted tones of the female form underwater. Her passion for the water started as a Synchronised Swimmer at the age of 8, following on to compete at the 2012 Olympic Games. 

Her celebrated unique style and background saw Francesca’s works recently featured in the TV series ‘The Block’. Francesca’s ‘Signature Series’ lends the viewer to a sense of calmness one could only otherwise perceive beneath the surface. Viewing this work allows one to escape the pandemonium of everyday life. Interior designer, TV personality and ‘The Block’ judge Shaynna Blaze described Francesca’s work as ‘hot’ in her judgement of her work on display.

Drawing the audience into a present moment, clients present Francesca’s work as a statement piece, captured in time and space. Her latest addition to the Series reflects a transitional point in her life, wanting to showcase the female form whilst also incorporating the moving waters around the subject.

Each print in the Signature Series is personally signed by Francesca Owen and comes with a certificate of Authenticity.

Francesca’s works dive into an aesthetic of women swimming underwater capturing free-flowing human form and the unseen performance of life under the water’s surface. These underwater photographic art prints entice the viewer to recognise the beauty and stillness of immersive escapism. 

Whether Francesca’s work is above or below a water line, her distinctive style has a common thread of beauty and water. Francesca’s photographs of the Italian Amalfi coastline have a distinct peaceful tone and simplicity that suits any interior.
